For the first time in
the last three edition, the annual international table tennis edition premier federation
Premier lotto in Nigeria open legacy on the 16th as recon entries on
participant for this year’s tournament scheduled for May 18th to 22nd
since its inception in 2013, the tournament competitors has not exceeded one
hundred (100) but from the least registered participants in the 2016 edition as
of Wednesday April 27th more
than 120 players had been confirmed in
the championship holding at the Malade Okoya Farmers Home of the Mbanugo
Stadium.
According to the
tournament director Bontu Olajide, the quality of players coupled with the
number of the entries is the reflection of the organization and the standard of
play. Olajide who is a certified ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation)
Referee believes the presence of top players in Europe will enhance the rivalry
between Nigeria and Egypt which had dominated the tournament in the last few
editions. Official in Egypt and Allgeria will have the proceedings on the 5
days tournament which is the highest prize valued money in the ITTF world in
the 2016 which is $26,000 US dollars which equivalent Naira value is 13.8
million Naira as cheque.
Since this events had
to be competed for, and this includes the categories:
(1) Singles men and women
(2) Double Men and Women
(3) Under 21 boys and Girls
