Also Lagos state mainland Tennis club says youth development and programs are priority as effort to popularize sports in Nigeria continues, President of the club DR. EMEKA AHAMEFULA stated this in Abuja at the just concluded friendly Match between USE-TEAM and FCT TENNIS CLUB, AHAMEFULA told the correspondent that the club is working in line with the Nigerian Tennis Federation to enhance the growth of the sports and be able to organize the underage competition for the youths. According to EMEKA AHAMEFULA, he expressed concern on what to do to enhance the game as far as the youth are concern in Nigeria. He said that he had already taken steps to fix the infrastructures needed for the game and the next thing is to get the youth organized and ready for the game through training and development. He said they made the program for less than 14years, and hopefully by August this year there will be an annual tournament for the youth but at moment coaching of the youths is on going to be able to select the champions from them.
