THE NIGERIAN FOOTBALL FEDERATION APPOINTED AN INTERIM COACH


The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed YUSUF as the super eagle’s head coach on interim bases; this was part of the decision taken after the meeting of NFF technical committee at the federation secretariat on Wednesday 20th April.

The Appointment precedes the eagles to two international friendly matches against Mali and Luximbas national team on May 27th and June 1. Yousuf take charge of the team while Shybo Amagbu replaced supervising role to the technical group. Emma Amama Packergbu and Kennedy Gbogboye was also appointed to assist while Alloy Agu makes the Goal Keeper trainer.

NFF also says a total of 83 clubs will be drawn for men and women Cup competition expected to commence next month, in a statement head of NFF Cup competition Unit Emmamuel Adesoya says a total of 61clubs will be involved in the men category of the competition while 22 clubs will be involved in the women events. The participation clubs made up of a total of 18 Nigerian Professional footballs League, 19 Nigerian National (NN ) Clubs and 9 nationwide league clubs.

In the women draw 16 premier league clubs, one co league and 5 armature division team will take part in the competition. And coach Cadinik Cana describes Enyimba’s qualification for the group stage of the CAN championship as huge achievement for the country, the same Enyimba’s  FC Coach said the two type African Champion by that same African champion put the nation’s name on the front burner of the top clubs in the continent.
